I do want to mention up front that this isn’t the finished product – there’s a lot more coming! I had originally hoped to finish everything off first and then launch the site, but it’s taken longer than anticipated, given the amount of detail and the inclusion of all the links, photos, and the accommodation rating system. There’s still a little bit of Japan and a LOT more of Europe to come (Paris, the U.K., & Spain, to name a few ;), so please enjoy what’s here and check back again soon! There is a bit of work that goes into the site, but I’m currently using WordPress, which is pretty much template based and makes things easier. If you’re just starting out, you may want to go the free route and use Blogger through G Mail – I started out there and then moved over to this. Just keep in mind that if you’d like to create permanent/static content, do it as a ‘page’ and if you want something that’s a date-stamped, journal/blog entry, it’s a ‘post’ (and that older content will get pushed further down the page and eventually archive).
